Emporia Community Cricket League 2026

Tournament Rules and Regulations

1. Tournament Format

The tournament will feature 24 teams divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each.
All matches will be played using a tape ball.
A maximum of 2 teams may register from each residential community.
If two teams represent the same residential community, they will be placed in separate groups.
Each team will play 3 group-stage matches and 1 warm-up match.
The top-performing teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage.
The tournament will consist of 59 matches in total, including warm-up matches.

2. Match Format and Bowling Regulations

All matches will be played in the T10 tape-ball format.
The maximum permitted bowling speed is 110 kph.
Any delivery recorded above 110 kph will be declared a no-ball.
If a bowler delivers 2 balls above 110 kph in the same match, that bowler will be suspended from bowling for the remainder of the match.
The decision of the tournament officials regarding bowling speed and disciplinary action will be final.

3. Tournament Schedule

Each participating team will play 1 warm-up match against Sreesanth Tips.
Matchday timings will generally be between 3:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
The group stage will be completed over a period of 3 weeks.
The knockout stage and finals will take place during the following week.
The complete tournament is expected to run for approximately 4 weeks.

4. General Regulations

All teams and players must comply with the tournament schedule and instructions issued by the organizers.
Teams must arrive at the venue in sufficient time for their scheduled matches.
Any changes to the schedule, format, or regulations will be communicated by the tournament organizers.
The tournament organizers reserve the right to interpret and enforce these regulations.
All decisions made by the tournament organizers and match officials shall be final.
